The Night of the Mitten

Friday, December 2nd, 6:00-9:00pm

Come and join us for an exciting winter event inspired by the Jan Brett book, The Mitten.  Enjoy a chance to listen to the story, make several crafts, listen to our band play, visit with Santa Claus and shop at the Holiday Shop.  It's sure to be a night full of fun for the whole family, so come and join us!

Eric Carle Masterpieces

First and second grade art classes have been working on collages based upon the work of author/artist Eric Carle. After reading his book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, students were able to take a closer look at the illustrations and make observations about Carle's work.

Take a peek at the children's work by clicking on the link below!

A Thanksgiving Tradition

For the past ten years, PSHS football players and cheerleaders visit South Elementary School during Thanksgiving week to read some classics to our students.  On Monday, the tradition continued as SES students listened intently to their role models as they read aloud.  This is a special time for our students and we greatly appreciate the football players and cheerleaders for sharing this special moment with us once again this year.
